The Evidence Was Already There

I think I’ve always been looking for proof.

Not in a dramatic way. More like leaves pressed into books, songs half written in notebooks, old photographs, scraps of paper I couldn’t throw away, flowers picked from the side of a road because something about them felt worth keeping.

Soft Cut Studio grew out of that.

I make cyanotypes, jewelry, paper pieces, and small studies of the things around me. Tools from my bench. Botanicals from the yard. The outline of a hand. Objects that might not seem important until light gives them a second life.

I’m less interested in perfection than I am in attention. What happens when we stop long enough to notice what was already there?

That question is at the center of this work.

This space will hold the pieces, the process, the stories behind them, and probably a few honest notes from the middle of becoming.

I’m glad you’re here.
