Original Cyanotype on Watercolor Paper
8 × 10 inches
Part of an ongoing series exploring the objects that shape a creative life, Bench Study No. 1 features tools from my jewelry bench printed in deep cyanotype blue. These are the same tools that accompanied my earliest days as a silversmith and maker, carrying years of use, learning, mistakes, and discovery.
Created using the traditional cyanotype process, each object was arranged by hand and exposed to sunlight, preserving a quiet record of work, patience, and practice. The resulting image feels both archival and intimate, a study of the tools that help transform ideas into tangible form.
This is an original artwork, not a reproduction.
